Very disappointing to say the least. I've tried asking about wave 3 or any updates on BBG and even Andrea has no news.

If you're a Wings fan you've got both WW1 and WW2 news to keeps you happy though?

    Kickstarter is coming.

...and series 6 WW II Wings of Glory is anounced for April.

I think we're still waiting for some news from the Sails of Glory sector.

Yesterday I recieved my USS Constitution.

Wings fans get new toys and SoG fans get a bunch of chit bags.

Like our esteemed shipmate Jim I too have climbed high in the rigging and gazed out to the horizon and confirm his report of no sails yet lads.

Ares doesn't like us anymore. Our profit margin probably isn't large enough?

Jim, you know who else that sounds like? The WGS guys... and the WGF guys. :P

Yes, we are a sideshow, and yes we're going to be in doldrums for a lot of 2016. BUT, we also have two very exciting waves (one of which was "my baby" based on research and polling I did here, so Ares DOES listen) in development and pre-production--I'll ask Rob where Wave 3 is and see if he can give us an update.

    Patience is a virtue.

Our game Group does not rely on Sails of Glory. We play the game 3 or 4 times a year beside Wings of Glory, Axis & Allies, Twilight Imperium and many other games.

From a collectors side I can understand the eagerness to watch all the time the empty space on the shelf, that's reserved for the next wave.

Yes, I'm sure I do sound like the folks over on the Aerodrome, but they have two lines to keep them occupied, at least in terms of news and looking forward to new products. I have to say your comment about being in the doldrums for a lot of 2016 doesn't make me feel any better that's for sure.

I'm so sorry for you all. This is a problem with being pulled into one system. One scale, one rule book and only one source. Ares should be more open and support you all more.

LOL Rory, I can only agree as I look at my serried ranks of cutters, sloops, brigs, 64s, 80s, and many, man more different types in 1/1200 :)

I'm not making fun. I'm so sad that Ares is letting you all down so badly.

I wonder if this is because WoG is more of a "money maker" for Ares then SoG?

I'm sure Wings does make more money for Ares than Sails does plus they've also been around longer. It may also be related to how much money they lost in the breakage prone Wave 2 ships they produced?

Sailing games have never been as popular as ground or air based ones so it's just an unfortunate reality we have to deal with.

By the way, Stephen. Greetings and welcome aboard the Anchorage!

    Thank you Jim!

I own/like WGF but I would really like to see Ares expand SoG as I feel this system has so much to offer. Currently I am waiting for my FLGS to restock their SoG products.

I just hope that Ares isn't giving up on SoG

I hope for the same things. Right now the only thing listed on their website for upcoming releases are the chit bags. Not what most of us are looking for.

It's strange that they make something that is so easily replaced with other manufacturer's bags and that most of the "faithful community" already have instead of focusing on what we all are waiting for: new ships and perhaps the fleet rules.

Actually, I just received an email this morning informing me that my WW1 bomber KS order is complete. I'm assuming that means it's in the mail or will be shortly?

As for Wave 3 SoG, I'll refrain from further comments as you all know my feelings on that topic.
