Default Langton miniatures. Some little ships.

Hello, I add my lastest work in scale 1/1200. It's about unrate ships. These little bastards are harder to do than a three-deck ship

I hope you like the final result!

    Best regards,
    Julián

Julián, you are a master of your craft. Over the years seeing all the miniatures you've painted I am curious to see the collections they go into. It must be quite a beautiful armada to behold.

Thanks Paul, they have been for different clients from all over the world, both collectors and gamers.

I'm glad you like it, really appreciated.

How are the advances in your port?

As you know house painting takes a long time when you have many tiny houses.

Blows me away as usual Julián, but also this time is very useful as tonight I started building one of these.

The Business of the commander-in-chief is first to bring an enemy fleet to battle on the most advantageous terms to himself, (I mean that of laying his ships close on board the enemy, as expeditiously as possible); and secondly to continue them there until the business is decided.

Here you can see the start. Lateen sails still to be bent.

From your model I now know how that rear spar mast goes.

Yes I know. It is a tedious work.

What kind of ship is it? A Xebec?

By the way, for Latin sails I do not recommend folding them. I recommend cutting the sail and only using the one part. In this way you will have a thinner sails with a better appearance. It is true that you may lose the texture of the back but you will not see that part too much. Even so, the final decision is yours.

Some time ago I mounted a Xebec and had the same problem. It was a very small ship and the sail looked very thick. Finally I just put one of the sails parts and the thickness was ideal.

Julian is that the lugger? I did that one years ago before the brass sails which look much better. I did paint my sails red though which you sometimes see on these coastal craft.
