I have been using Games Workshop spray can primers ever since year dot, but yesterday for the first time they declined to post either that or the varnish to me so by the end of next week I will be stuck also.

The Business of the commander-in-chief is first to bring an enemy fleet to battle on the most advantageous terms to himself, (I mean that of laying his ships close on board the enemy, as expeditiously as possible); and secondly to continue them there until the business is decided.

Primer is worth its weight in gold :/ I don't know why it's so restricted over here.

Regarding what works on these models - I've used Tamiya, Citadel and Halfords white acrylic spray with no issues.

For the curious, this is the brand of resin I use:

As for an update on the models - I didn't do any printing over the weekend, as it was my birthday, but I've just about got the 1/1000 sets done. However, since I want to send everything all at once, I'm afraid dispatch won't take place until I finish the 1/1200 sets but, being the smallest, they shouldn't take too long to print. I somewhat wisely chose to start with the 1/700 masts as the first I printed, and they're all done.

Thanks for the update Henry. Good month for a birthday too. Mine is in a couple of weeks time.
