By the powers invested in me by the Lord High Admiral, and by the Order of the members of Navy Board, I am instructed to inform you that Diamondback has been designated as the new Comptroller of the said Navy Board. As recognition of the fastidious and extensive work carried out by him in order to help in the creation and running of the Game of Sails of Glory and the Anchorage, and also for his distinguished leading of the Statistics Committee, he is to be awarded a Medal of State as yet to be decided by the Board.

Wm. Bligh. Admiral of the Blue and secretary to the Navy Board.
The Business of the commander-in-chief is first to bring an enemy fleet to battle on the most advantageous terms to himself, (I mean that of laying his ships close on board the enemy, as expeditiously as possible); and secondly to continue them there until the business is decided.

This is only the third award of this medal made. It therefore gives me the greatest of pleasure to confer it upon Diamondback for his stalwart and unceasing efforts both on and off the Anchorage to enhance the game we all love.

    Citation.

A prestigious medal awarded to members that go above and beyond the call of duty.

By order of the Navy Board.

It has also been decided to re designate the former Mid Shipman medal as the Service Medal as it was felt that the title is demeaning to those who have now pur in even more years of service, climbed the ladder of promotion and are no longer classed as snotties.

Thanks to all--this award really goes more to the Anchorage community who've picked me up and carried me on your shoulders finding the puzzle pieces for us to try to fit together, and I'm both humbled and honored to accept it on the crew's behalf.

Thanks, David; as I said, what I do is a pittance compared to our shipmates who pick me up and carry me on your shoulders when there's work to be done. Everybody, if you're hoisting 'em, hoist another for yourselves because none of this woulda happened without y'all doing a zillion and one little things we all take for granted.

The Monarch of the sea got rid of them for yapping too much Bill. Further than that I could not comment, as I am just a slave to duty, and duty, duty must be done. The rule applies to everyone.

    Rob.

(However, I've got a little list!)

No it is not either to port or larboard.

Arrr, gotta keep me pirate cred somehow... :) Besides, giving the lads a taste of the perqs every now and again gives them something to aspire to and keeps them motivated, sometimes better than the lash. What's 1790s-ese for "Morale & Wellness"? LOL

In the Royal Navy we call it Prize money and Grog.

The Business of the commander-in-chief is first to bring an enemy fleet to battle on the most advantageous terms to himself, (I mean that of laying his ships close on board the enemy, as expeditiously as possible); and secondly to continue them there until the business is decided.

    The Mail Packet has arrived!

Our neighbors, who are avid campers and receiving our mail while we travel, decided to rendezvous with us and make a delivery, and so the Admiralty Trophy made it to it's new home.

To celebrate, Suzanne and I held a schooner race around the Isle of Yellow.

Suzanne was first across the start, but at the windward corner of the island I made a move to cut inside.

As the windward boat, she was required to avoid me, but just barely didn't. Thusly, she incurred a penalty turn, which she neatly executed.

The result was a commanding lead for me, but the whole race was still fun for us both.

Glad the trophy made it Dobbs.
I hear there are Pirates working out of the Chesapeake, that is why I sent it by the swiftest Mail Packet I could find working out of Falmouth on the North Atlantic run.
    Congratulations again.

PS. What is hiding in that cave on Yellow Island?

It gives me great pleasure to announce the award of the 100 rep points medal to Eric (DeRuyter)

    Well done sir.
