Default My first Warlord ship. Spnaish frigate

    Hello all,

As you know, Warlord Game has released a game of naval battles in the Napoleonic era. Like many clubs and particulars, Warlord sent me a sample of one of his ships to paint, it is a generic frigate from his starter set.
In regards to modeling. I have decided to use some additional pieces of other brands. Then, I put a list.

    Hull: Warlord Game
    Sails: Meridian
    Masts: Meridian
    Ratlines: Meridian
    Complements (boats, anchors): Meridian
    Flags: Handmade
    Be base: Hanmade

The rigging has been made using monofilament polyamid thread.

The scale of the model is 1/700 ( a 30% bigger than SOG ships)

    I hope you like she!

    Very nice indeed.
I am also in the process of painting up this model, from a British perspective it is like a Leda class 38 gun frigate, what have you based your version on ?

Given that Warlord has designed all of his boats in the starter box as British ships, I have had to make some modifications to the deck. For example I have removed the wooden planks from the center.

For the rest, I tried to make it look as similar as possible to a Spanish frigate. I have copied the color scheme of images that I found on the web.

That would be nice had they done that properly. An Amazon class would also serve. Someone in another pointed out that the battery configuration is unusual. 24 gun battery, with 14 ordnance on the FC&QD. Normally you had a 26 or 28 gun battery with far less on the QD&FC. The configuration does not really fit a British design.

Of course awesome job on the Spanish frigate!!

It is clearly not a game where historical rigor is its strength ... even so, it's not bad.

The dimensions are too big for the 32 gun Amazons, it could be the 38 version though

There is just no stopping your versatility Julián.
Your sheer speed of production and skill is astounding.

As others have written your work is incredible. I’m very impressed with the incredible work you’ve done on crew and details on a ship that’s only 30% bigger than the Sails ships.

Thanks Rob, in principle these boats are for me. It is my Spanish fleet. Yesterday I bought a box with three 74 guns.

Thanks Jonas, I am very excited about these boats and especially because in my city there is a store that will create a players club, I will finally be able to take my fleet to the high seas!

I can't wait to see your Fleet completed Julián. Will you be gaming with it or is it just a showpiece?

Such colorful work on the decks! I was expecting that crazy modellers like you would add tiny crew to these big Warlord ships, and you didn't disappoint. :D :D They look spectacularly cool, and give the ship a cinematic aspect. I can tell apart the blue uniforms with the diagonal white belts. ˇBello trabajo!

Where did the sailors come from? Scratchbuilt?
