You are correct Dobbs dear chap. I will amend the matter.

Dan-sam picks up his European GM Medal for the game at Prague-con.
    Well done Daniel.

It is hi time we got a dedicated medal for Prague similar to those awarded on the Drome.

I quite agree Jonas. At present all you chaps have is Minor Con Europe. Each country should have one Major con medal of its own.
If I were you I would raise the issue with Keith. We need a new medal designer who can take some of the strain off Eric and Ling.

I also wonder what makes a con minor or major.

GothCon this year had 2500 people and the national tv were broadcasting live from there.

Numbers plus the fact that it was more than one day was the criteria for a Major Con Jonas.
With the demise of Sheffield Triples we only really do one Major in the UK now and that is the World championships.

Well... GothCon is four days and LinCon is officially four but starts inofficially the evening Before. LinCon usually have 1500 people.

Some friends serve free tea at them both and the records stand at well over one ton of tea at GothCon and over one and a half ton at LinCon.

One of those should certainly be your Major for Sweden Jonas. You should pick the one which you put on a Sails game the most often, and which most of your compatriots help you in the game.

Des anyone put on a Sails game there Bill. If so you could ask Keith for a medal if it is done regularly each year.

LinCon is in my home town and I most definately put on most games there, even though I do both. I usually just have one to help me out and he's not on here. LinCon is longer, but GothCon has more participants. I'd like to say LinCon mostly because I'm biased. And there's a LinCon in may.

Right Jonas, make your case out and submit it to Keith.
    I'll keep my fingers crossed.

It took me from 2014 till 17 to get medals for Doncaster up and running. No ones fault just other stuff getting in the way for several people involved in the production of the final product.

As soon as you get established and after a couple of events where you have several members also attending it may well qualify for a medal.

Looks like I will be buying the drinks in the Wardroom tonight on account of Wentworth elevating me to the 500th rep point. May I thank all those shipmates, some of whom are no longer with us, who have made this possible.

Congrats on your accomplishment, Rob. Having just checked the medal thread I see you are the only person with that award. I would have thought Julian and Jonas would also be up there?

On another note why haven't those in charge of the medal program instituted medals for 4 years of service and a comparable number of posts? Same goes for 5, 6, 7, etc?

Who wants to be wealthy and wise, when you can have small plastic ships?

Handsome? Get yourself a naval officers uniform from the period!
