Default Images of Reverse Side Ships

Does anyone have images of the ships on the reverse sides of the cards?

I am assuming that all of the paint jobs on the ships are meant to show the ship as the primary ship listed. I have two of many of the ships and I would love to paint them to look like the second named ship if I can find any references.

Are there specific ships you desire?

I was looking for most of them, especially the 74s and frigates. Many I have two of and having a way to differentiate them would help justify buying others. I was contemplating painting the Wave 1 duplicates to match the kickstarters.

    Hi,
I thought about starting a thread to collect pictures of historical paintings/modern age paintings/models of my current SoG ships (frontside ship and reverse side ship) as an inspiration for repaints.
So far I have found some pictures but most of them were painted in the 20th century... If that is enough for you, I'll arrange them in a short list. If anyone has further sources/pistures, feel free to contribute yours!

When I find the time, I'll complete the list; if someone has other/better pictures (of ships listed above or other), please share them,
if I get enough together, I'll start a new thread with a complete (and better structured) list!

Richard, this is a neat idea. Before it gets to large, I suggest starting a new thread, and whenever someone sends links, you can edit the OP. I think arranging by nation would be helpful. When I think of the Constitution, for example, my first thought is that she's American, and then I think of her class, similarly, the ST is Spanish, the Victory if British, etc.

    Well done, Sir.

This is excellent, all the repainting info one could wish for in one tidy place!

This has preempted an idea that I was contemplating of extending my posts that I did on the ships of the various releases with a picture and potted history attached. I could also include the back pictures and histories of those ships too. I would not mind working in conjunction with Richard on this, rather than duplicate his work.

Thank you for the Rep, Eric!

Currently I have listed all available ships with name and date, sorted by nation and ship type (this time structured with nice underlining of topics, different letter sizes etc.), all ready to post.
Rob, I'd be delighted to work together with you! My current plan is to create a new Thread including my list and starting to look / ask other members for pictures of every single ship as described above by Eric in post #6. From there we could link to your threads about the ships' history. If you have another idea, just let me know, for me it's still early planning phase. I'll send you a copy of the complete ship list via pm (already formatted for the forum with BB code).

Thanks Torrance, that is what I was looking at. Most of us have surplus ships and looking for ways to paint them other than the standard Nelson checker.

    That would be great.
I'm quite happy to follow your lead and research each ship as you send them to me. Maybe other shipmates would like to contribute pictures too.

    I started the Thread:
    http://www.sailsofglory.org/showthre...5843#post55843

I hope many of you will contribute and have fun with it!

Rob, you can either post the links to your history files for every ship in the new thread or pm me, then I'll add a new line under the ship names which is linked to your articles. I'm already excited for them!

    Thanks for your work, Rob!
It is your decision. I put under each ship name you wrote an article about the extra line "history" which is linked to your posts and I would continue doing it.
You can decide if you want the link lead to your posts in the thread or to your Blog, just let me know so that I can change it!

Link to the posts then it is easier for the readers to stay on the main part of the site Rich.
