    Default Next Mission?

Now that I'm up to date, any sign of the October mission on the horizon?

Being October perhaps a skirmish from Trafalgar, or it's aftermath?

Getting close to years end and a wrap up of the solo testing. What's the word on plans for a full year 2016 solo campaign?

October mission I'll post tomorrow night.

I'm up for a full blown campaign. We must include damage to ships though and come up with a viable means of incorporating it without unbalancing the game for individuals.

I am chatting with Eric tomorrow on Skype hopefully. I will try and confirm where he wants and how he would like the campaign to end for this year and possibilities for repeating same next year.

I would hope your bomb vessel scenario followed by a straight forward squadron line v squadron line sail past each other and blast the hell out of each other. Once past a certain point then its individual action.

Having spoken to Eric on skype the other day, he is happy for this years campaign to go as planned. He will formulate a discussion about next years campaign late November/December.

Yes, French Privateers for sure, but a third squadron might add some variety to the game, until (or if) we get the Spanish? Not sure when I'll return to solo play as I'm spending more time modeling.

You just wait... I'll fight the last six battles as soon as I have chosen a trait for Wentworth.
Ok... It's just an excuse. It's other captains turn anyway...

Looking forward to them Jonas, but remember this year was just about trying out some more solo rules. And we have, we now have merchantmen rules, boat actions, fortresses etc. More than what we added into the 2014 campaign.

Some nice strategic rules, ie dealing with damage and crew loss and time out for ships with perhaps a smaller squadron but more replacements as ships go off to be refitted, repaired etc.

If most or all your squadrons and captains are British in 2016 what's the purpose or goal of the campaign? You may have to go with a basic leaderboard format that focuses on captain achievements and not national objectives?

Depending on the take up Jim, I may well end up playing the French next year.
Can't be the Dons, unless Nexus brings out the next lot of ships, as I have only the two 74/80s and one Frigate. Hardly enough to fight a campaign. I will go with the flow, just as long as I'm sailing.
