Default Silly Notion Re Detachable Masts And Ratlines On Same

I was assembling one of those metal-card ship models, and the way the ratlines attached to the masts and hulls got me to Thinking[TM]:

The way the ratlines attach on the metal-card models is: Tabs are placed into slots atop the masts, then the tabs are folded over to lock down the ratline. On the hull, however, the ratline tabs enter slots in the hull, but are held in place by the shape of the ratline itself (the ratlines try to press in, but are blocked by the hull). If one were to make the masts on a SoG mini detachable, then one could permanently attach ratlines to the tops of the masts, while leaving the bottom tabs "unfixed"; when one needed to remove the mast, one need only spread the bottom of the ratlines until the tabs clear the slots, then slide the mast out.
