    Default Partizan 2024

Here are a few shots from our Sails Game last Sunday. We played Valdivia.
    Rob.

    The Spanish discuss tactics.

    The Chilean Squadron does likewise.

The Spanish set sail from the harbour.

    A bit of a bump.

    Cochrane’s captured fort opens fire.

So do the two leading ships.

    A general action ensues.

Dismasted, the Ifigenia is abandoned by her crew.

    The Spaniard starts to sink.

    And vanishes in the bay.

Meanwhile, the O'Higgins has had a brush with the rocks.

Neverthless with two ships gone and the third being blasted from all sides,

the remaining Spanish Captain retreats into the safety of the river estuary.

The Business of the commander-in-chief is first to bring an enemy fleet to battle on the most advantageous terms to himself, (I mean that of laying his ships close on board the enemy, as expeditiously as possible); and secondly to continue them there until the business is decided.

Yes Dobbs we do. It keeps things fair, neater on the table and the system speeds up play and clearing up at the end of the game.
The cards are covered in sticky backed plastic and the whiteboard markers are easily wiped off with baby wipes.
