    Houston, we have a problem.
    I am opening Pandora's box.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news Vol, but you are flying the wrong ensign and national flag.
The Union did not take place until 1801, so the red saltire would not be included during the Breadfruit mission of 1789.

The Business of the commander-in-chief is first to bring an enemy fleet to battle on the most advantageous terms to himself, (I mean that of laying his ships close on board the enemy, as expeditiously as possible); and secondly to continue them there until the business is decided.

So ot wasn't the white ensign after all? I wondered about the jack, I couldn't quite make it out in the painting well enough to be sure. So it would be the original jack then. I will get them changed.

OK so no jack at all then. Easily removed. And I now realize the white ensign I used is also post 1801. Not sure if I have the earlier enaigns. Pandora is wrong as well.
Thanks Rob, you are a scholar and a gentleman!

Darned close on both flags, Vol. Just ditch the diagonal red stripes and you're home!
