I've been wondering the same thing. Some friends of ours must have sailed right by his house last month, bound for the Erie canal. I was hoping he'd post a picture of their boat.
Right now we're experiencing pretty nasty smoke from Canadian wildfires on the Chesapeake. I imagine it's much worse where he is.
Lots of mysterious disappearances on both sites over the past year... :(
