The Business of the commander-in-chief is first to bring an enemy fleet to battle on the most advantageous terms to himself, (I mean that of laying his ships close on board the enemy, as expeditiously as possible); and secondly to continue them there until the business is decided.

Had contact with organisers and have asked for two tables for the show.
One for Sails and second for Wings WW1.

Anyone interested please let either myself or Rob know and we can sort things out.
I can supply most ships so we just need helpers.

Hope you have a good day, and recruit many new sailors and airmen to the cause.

If they don't come voluntarily there's alway the Press Gang.

We had a great day thanks Dobbs, even though most of the players were shipmates. I did get one of the excited punters to take a card for the Anchorage.
I will post the pictures as soon as they are processed tomorrow.

As the San Martin and Proserpina continue to duke it out, every other passing ship tries to get in on the action.

Next a boarding action starts, concluding the Proserpina's day and also that of the San Martin. I just knew the loss of all those men at the start of the action would come back to bite them both.

It opened quietly enough with two ships loaded once again with Grape, but out of range as they passed. Having manouvered things soon heated up for the Spanish.

it was not long before the remaining ships in the squadrons became engaged aqnd one more broadside was enough to send Proserpina to a watery grave which was just revenge for the earlier first encounter.

A subtle change in the wind direction put the Spaniard under even more of a disadvantage, and taken all aback he was forced to face another bow rake.

This defeat of the Spanish at the hands of Admiral Cochrane and his Chilean squadron will naturally lead on to the next game played at Partizan this last weekend.
