Hi, I'm Kirk and I reside in Huntsville, AL. I've been a Wings of War...er...Glory player for years so thought I'd try Sails of Glory. My "fighting sail" gaming prior to this has been limited to the GMT Flying Colors games which I really enjoy. My other naval gaming has centered on the Civil War era with games such as Ironclads by Yaquinto, Iron & Oak by GMT, and Fighting Steam. I was attracted to Sails of Glory for two reasons; first I really enjoy the visual element of Ares games. The miniatures and other game components are top notch. Second, I'm not into excruciating detail (which is why I don't play Ironclads anymore) but I do steer more toward realism vs. simplicity.
