    Default Fresh Minnesota Lakes Sailor

    Ahoy!

I had recently stumbled upon age of sails merchandise and pirate games. Which has filled a void in my collection of table top games. My searching for a miniatures games started with Oak & Iron, Black Sails, and I finally stumbled upon Sails of Glory and found that to be the winner. Especially, when I found a great deal on an auction for a lot of ships! I still haven't played the game yet, but have been obsessed for the past couple weeks and can't wait to receive them tomorrow. I have a number of gaming friends, willing to play this with me, but I hope I can meet a couple of you who are MN locals.

Here is the list of contents from the auction.

    Base Set
    Captain and Crew Ability deck
    Commerce de Bordeaux 1785 / Duguay-Trouin 1788
    Embuscade 1798 / Le Succes 1801
    Fougueux 1785 / Redoutable 1791
    Hermione 1779 / L'Inconstante 1786
    HMS Bellerophon 1786 / HMS Defiance 1783
    HMS Bellona 1760 / HMS Goliath 1781
    HMS Cleopatra 1779 / HMS Iphigenia 1780
    HMS Concorde 1783 / HMS Unite 1796
    HMS Impetueux 1796 / HMS Spartiate 1798
    HMS Juno 1780 / HMS Castor 1785
    La Concorde 1777 / Junon 1778
    Le Berwick 1795 / Le Swiftsure 1801
    Terrain

Can't wait to become an experienced commander and learn from all of you.

    Hi Jon.
I can now informally welcome you to the Anchorage, and hope that you enjoy your life on the ocean blue with all your new shipmates.
May you always sail safe with a fair wind and a willing foe.

    Rob.
The Business of the commander-in-chief is first to bring an enemy fleet to battle on the most advantageous terms to himself, (I mean that of laying his ships close on board the enemy, as expeditiously as possible); and secondly to continue them there until the business is decided.

I am sure a few will pop along to say hi when they come off watch, or in some cases return from their voyage. tillthen stow your gear and have a good look around the port. Hope to see you in the wardroom next time that the officers invite me.

Thank you for your welcome. I just played a game up to standard and hope to practice advance gameplay soon. I'll probably have a few questions after a couple games.
