The Business of the commander-in-chief is first to bring an enemy fleet to battle on the most advantageous terms to himself, (I mean that of laying his ships close on board the enemy, as expeditiously as possible); and secondly to continue them there until the business is decided.

Progress on my 17th Century Dutch ships. Finished the rigging for the two Ark Royal ships - a 40-gun generic and a jacht. The rigging was done with fibre. I can't see how I would do it easily with thread. However, the remaining four ships are Langton ships and I will use thread for those. I found the fibre actually more difficult and time consuming - and with more cursing. There's still a bit more painting needed on these - touch ups, ratline blocks, etc. I'll leave the sea bases until the Langton ships are ready.
