    Default Hello from France

Hello, thank you for welcoming me, my name is Bruno, I am 54 years old and I live in France, a little in Paris and a little in Brittany near Lorient.
I am passionate about aviation and I came to you through wings of glory and the french forum le Cirque Volant :

    https://wingsofwar.1fr1.net/t1321p50...-wargame#31087

I also have a passion for the sea and the Corsairs or Privateers ( Corsaires in French ) in particular Robert Surcouf :

    https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Robert_Surcouf

still very famous here in Brittany in Saint Malo
I will discover a new universe on the game table by starting in Sails of Glory, hoping that it pleases me as much as the one of Wings of Glory, but I am almost sure !

I'm looking forward to exchange with you while sailing on the oceans and seas around the world

    Good morning Bruno.
I can now formally welcome you to the Anchorage on behalf of the sailors based here. I hope that you will get as much pleasure out of Sails as we do. I have posted a list of French sailors who have posted within the last year or so. You may care to drop them a PM. sometime.
Although Paul, tikifriend, has not posted much you will probably recognise him as the Wingco for the french Squadron on Wings of Glory.
He is based in your neck of the woods when you are in Brittany. It may be worth your getting in touch with him also.
Other than that, do not hesitate to get in touch with me if you have any burning questions which need answering.
May you sail with a fair wind and a willing foe.

    Rob.

The Business of the commander-in-chief is first to bring an enemy fleet to battle on the most advantageous terms to himself, (I mean that of laying his ships close on board the enemy, as expeditiously as possible); and secondly to continue them there until the business is decided.

Bon matin Bruno, and welcome from Adelaide. When I saw your forum name I immediately thought of the WWII submarine.

A late welcome from me too. I’m not active on the Wings side of things, even though I have both Wings of War and Wings of Glory. I hope you will find us helpful in getting you sailing.
