    Default Australian Nuclear Submarines

I was gob smacked to see on the news yesterday that Australia will have Nuclear Subs by the end of this decade. I am not sure of the class but they will be built here in Adelaide from US and UK components. Being a non nuclear nation for so long it was a total surprise for most of the population. We live in interesting times.

Please remember not to let this thread go political shipmates!

The Business of the commander-in-chief is first to bring an enemy fleet to battle on the most advantageous terms to himself, (I mean that of laying his ships close on board the enemy, as expeditiously as possible); and secondly to continue them there until the business is decided.

It is not political. Nuclear Submarines have sails.

Unless they are RN nuclear submarines, in which case what US sumbariners call the "sail" is referred to as the "fin"

Just remember, with American boats... "Everything forward of the control room is just a fairing for the reactor."
