Default The Sinking of an Aircraft Carrier

Watch as, for the first time, a large American Aircraft Carrier, the USS Oriskany, is prepared and then sunk to form an artificial reef.

    Wow - incredible video.

Remind me of the big Carrier battles in WW2.

    Thx for posting.

That was an enthralling film Dave. Thanks for posting it. What an interesting explaination of all the prep work needed. I will never just pass over the news of yet another artificial reef project without thinking of this.

The Business of the commander-in-chief is first to bring an enemy fleet to battle on the most advantageous terms to himself, (I mean that of laying his ships close on board the enemy, as expeditiously as possible); and secondly to continue them there until the business is decided.

    Fascinating video.
