Apropos of nothing, while I was trying to find a copy of Brian Miller's "Adventure's Call" to set my desktop on the backup laptop I stumbled across this image by Miller, "Harbor Night," that I thought might make somebody a good wallpaper.

It is a very atmospheric picture DB. Strange to say my wallpaper is also a ship. A photo I took of Hermione when she sailed up the Chesapeake to Yorktown.

The Business of the commander-in-chief is first to bring an enemy fleet to battle on the most advantageous terms to himself, (I mean that of laying his ships close on board the enemy, as expeditiously as possible); and secondly to continue them there until the business is decided.

Miller actually did a series that I'd like to know more about... the other three were Voyage, Storm and Harbor Sunrise.

Even more eye candy DB, and here is my completed Essex herself.
Just done the US Flag decal. Just the ship card to go now.
