Anyone hear of any new ships that Ares might be releasing in the future?

I, for one, am a student of the naval actions on Lake Ontario during the War of 1812. I would love to see a line of smaller ships modeled of the British and US fleets that sailed out of Kingston, Ontario and Sackets Harbor, New York.

Sadly, small-ship actions would require a revamp of the ruleset--right now, the only active development in Wings/Sails I know of is the R&D Ares has me doing for WGS Guadalcanal; I'm probably more active with my private research projects like the one that jumpshotted Wave 4 than they are with official efforts right now. Pretty much there's a hard floor that we'll never see a ship below 98' long, though I've proposed a workaround for that of molding them 2-3 per base, hulls integrally molded as part of the base lid like the PT-boat tiddlywinks of old Axis & Allies War at Sea.

If it was up to me, I'd crank the Lakes up to larger scale miniatures with frigates about the size and stats of SGN First Rates, recalibrating the scales below accordingly. I'd do the Starter set as a group of unique sculpts, then just do one sculpt each side for the various sizes and types of ship.

The Business of the commander-in-chief is first to bring an enemy fleet to battle on the most advantageous terms to himself, (I mean that of laying his ships close on board the enemy, as expeditiously as possible); and secondly to continue them there until the business is decided.
