    Default Hammerhead 2021

Here is a message relayed from Captain Duff on the Wings Forum. It may be of interest to any shipmates who are not participants on the Drome.

I have received a mail from the organisers about the show for 2021, Hammerhead is planned to take place on Saturday 6th March 2021.
The organisers are asking if we are planning on attending the show, if all is back to normal.
Do we want to attend theshow again, I would be looking to book two tables , one for Wings and the other for Sails , as usual.
If anyone has other suggestions let me know, but the main thing is do we want to attend?
If yes I will go ahead and book the tables, please let me know asap
The Business of the commander-in-chief is first to bring an enemy fleet to battle on the most advantageous terms to himself, (I mean that of laying his ships close on board the enemy, as expeditiously as possible); and secondly to continue them there until the business is decided.

The organisers of Hammerhead are looking at running it on Saturday 31st July 2021, now, if the coronavirus situation allows.

I, unfortunately am spoken for on that day. I have a prior booking which was made 50 years ago.

Chris, if I can be there I will be, but who knows what is going to happen this year.

It may be more of a hello than a helping hand I'm afraid but if it's ok with you I'll confirm nearer the time.
    Cheers

Have received a mail from the organisers.
Unfortunately HammerheD 2021 has been cancelled due to the extension of the lockdown rules.
The next Hammerhead will be 5 March 2022.
I will start a new thread for this.

Very funny Chris. I'll give you that one!
Prior engagement of 50 years standing takes some believing as well.

I am sad that Hammerhead has been cancelled for 2021. I shall have to wait until next March.

Never thought I would feel better if a show were to be cancelled Dave. Whilst very sorry for the rest of you shipmates, I feel that at least now I know that I won't be missing out on the first gathering of you chaps for 16 months.

    Very selfish of me!
