Default Diary of George Hodge--Sailor in Nelson's Navy

This story is somewhat old, but I stumbled across it while researching some other stuff on the web. The diary sold at auction for $110,000 to a private collector and that's the last anyone knows of it. Unfortunately, the diary was never scanned or transcribed for the edification of future students, historians or researchers. Over 500 pages with 200 watercolor drawings!! What was shared via the auction catalog and some press coverage is awesome. It sounds like some individuals are trying to track the diary down, but that's likely to be a lost cause until the owner steps forward, if ever?
