I respectively have to disagree. Here are shots from my set that arrived a couple of weeks ago. One is the First Rate sculpt and the other Blackbeard's Revenge. I think much of the detail is more subtle and isn't as evident on the brown plastic. I fully expect that when Julian finishes up painting some of these models they will certainly impress.

Have you had a chance to play yet Jim? Was supposed to have a game last weekend, but fell through, and difficult now to get folks together.

I have not gotten the chance to play a game. Gaming has been curtailed significantly due to the virus situation. If anything I may try to paint up a ship or two. As I mentioned above I'm very interested to see what Julian does with the models.

I am now a bit more interested than I was having seen your photos Jim and heard that they are more like playing pieces. strangely that appeals to my vision of Pirate ships and may just turn into a good fun option to play with the Kids using Sails basic rules.
    I wonder?

The Business of the commander-in-chief is first to bring an enemy fleet to battle on the most advantageous terms to himself, (I mean that of laying his ships close on board the enemy, as expeditiously as possible); and secondly to continue them there until the business is decided.

That's certainly much better than was apparent in the video!
