    Default Scenarios!

How do you usually pick or create scenarios to play? Do you mostly try to recreate specific historical engagements, create something based on broader historical circumstances, play Ares' scenarios, or just treat it like a sandbox and put together whatever sounds like fun? So far I've been going the historically inspired and sandbox routes.

All of the above depending on time available, ships available, audience, and venue.

The Business of the commander-in-chief is first to bring an enemy fleet to battle on the most advantageous terms to himself, (I mean that of laying his ships close on board the enemy, as expeditiously as possible); and secondly to continue them there until the business is decided.
