Sounds very much like the way I do mine Marco.
On thing you might consider is painting your houses in stages whilst waiting for glue, paint etc to dry out. This makes better use of your time if you only have the weekends to work on it. I look forward to seeing the finished work. If you do it all in one thread with a writeup of the stages, I can put it in the How to for you again.
