Question Some question about dismast of SoG ships

    Good day gentlemen

    1. Has anyone tried to dismast an original SoG mast without cutting it directly over deck?
    2. The hull is glued but how exactly are the masts attached?
    3. Is there a chance to remove them in other wise than cutting?

    Regards
    Marco

Someone put the ships in alcohol and the glue came apart. It's on the site somewhere. It could be Jim that did it. Perhaps Bligh could point it out?
My memory is that the masts are glued into half circle shaped holes to make sure they are aligned.

Glad to see you caught my re-masting thread Marco, and thanks for the Rep.

The Business of the commander-in-chief is first to bring an enemy fleet to battle on the most advantageous terms to himself, (I mean that of laying his ships close on board the enemy, as expeditiously as possible); and secondly to continue them there until the business is decided.
