Where in Mass are you? I just left Cape Cod to retire to Maine. I grew up down in Fairhaven.

Fairhaven has part claim to the first successful naval engagement in the AWI, capturing a British vessel. Britain then paid a visit, captured Fort Phoenix in Fairhaven and then proceeded to burn neighboring New Bedford. Article 'HERE'
