Default Wanted, Perhaps: Complete (ish) Collection Sails of Glory

Newbie here but much enjoying our experience with WoW and the support of the fly boys on the WoG forum. Not sure about SoG but thinking it might be a direction in near future. Still researching the game but thought Id check in and see if there was someone on the way out with it here.

Thinking that since the game has the same bloodlines and the forum here likely much of the same gracious milieu as WoG, it might be a no brainer.

Hi Rob and welcome to this side of the world. I'm sure quite a few shipmates are thinning down their collections.
You should be able to get quite a few ships at reasonable prices.
    Good sailing to ye.

Welcome Rob, hope you find the ships you want.
The game itself is very enjoyable although quite bloody, ships dont tend to last too long once in action.
Quite surprised with your comment abot the Wings forum as many of us here are also members, if anything I can do to assist with questions or info ask away, if ref Wings PM me and Ill do what I can to assist

Thank you for the welcome, gentlemen! Ideally, I will find someone who bought into the KS at Captain or above and would like to move onto something else, such as Wings of Glory! Which we are very much enjoying.

    Rob,
Welcome -- I recently saw someone selling off a fairly sizable collection of Sails of Glory on Ebay -- don't know if it is still up, but you might want to take a look just in case.
    best,

    Welcome to Anchorage, Rob.

I'm over in Bellingham. This coming weekend there is a gaming convention here in town. See link.

Not much action to report from the Salish Sea Squadron.

Bellingham! We're on Lopez Island and don't leave the island very often but that is tempting, to be sure.

The Salish Sea Squadron, love it. Thanks for the invite, Paul.

If I lived on Lopez Island doubt I'd leave often either. I've been to Lopez, San Juan, Orcas, Samish, and my wife and I were married in a beautiful ceremony on Lummi Island in another century.

Yeah, and we've got a disc golf course on the ranch, that's my outside game. You play? Got a course there in the hood at the Park.

Sounds nice, Rob. Sadly, I am off-line playing outside for a while as I am pre-op for surgical management of a partially torn tendon in my dominant arm.

But in answer to your question, yes, Cornwall Park is the hood Park. For a city course it's nice.

Dude, that would be hell for me. No discing, and more. Well, the offer has no expiration on it. I could see SoG logging some time.

Thank you for the offer and I will take you up on that in a few months. Before Ultimate was ever a thing we played touch Frisbee football on all asphalt Catholic schoolyard. Lot's of raspberries on the road to learning a sport that didn't really have a name yet.

Question. Would a Lieutenant KS Pledge be worth $500? Trying to get some traction with current market value.

    From the actual ks project
$140.00 Lieutenant - you will receive one copy of the Sails of Glory Starter Set, plus the four Kickstarter-Exclusive Ship Packs.

You can pick up a starter set from around $70 from ebay or online stores. Throw in a handful of ships and you're only in for around $150.

If you're into having ks exclusives then I'd say you've got it bad.

    Morning Rob.
A friend of mine who had the KS presented me with the Redoutable, and I repainted another ship as the Bellerophon. With the ships available, quite a lot of repaints can be carried out if you have the yen for it.

Thanks for the tip, Rob, but painting is not my game. One of the things I love about ARES.

All good, here now. Picked up a 47 ship KS collection with a couple of mats and good to go. Expecting to see sails hoving over the horizon this week. Pretty excited!

    Excellent news Rob.
Can't wait to see the photos from some of your games.

As of today here in Spain is almost impossible to get some items, I got the last base box from a local on-line retailer that usually has discontinued items, and it was the last one, and then got "Alligator 1782 / Le Fortune 1780", "San Juan Nepomuceno 1766 / San Francisco de Asis 1767" and the "Damage Counter Bags" from another one.

As of today I am also waiting for "Sirena 1793 / Ifigenia 1795" and "Additional Counter Set" from an on-line retailer located in USA with very good shpping costs.

    So, not easy at all...

I am still in quest of all but one ship from the Kickstarter, and have been kicking myself ever since.
