Perks of your exalted position Comptroller.

Arrr, gotta keep me pirate cred somehow... :) Besides, giving the lads a taste of the perqs every now and again gives them something to aspire to and keeps them motivated, sometimes better than the lash. What's 1790s-ese for "Morale & Wellness"? LOL

Not only that but the fact that you have just completed 5 AAR's in our 2015 Campaign makes you only the sixth man to sport the medal for this feat.
    Double congratulations!

In addition you are the only person on either forum to whom I have given four awards in a month, let alone in two days.

I make that worth a quadrouple G&t to me thanks.

It does look as if it's drinks all round only another 7 games to go to complete 2015, if only I had been here 5 years ago

    The Mail Packet has arrived!

Our neighbors, who are avid campers and receiving our mail while we travel, decided to rendezvous with us and make a delivery, and so the Admiralty Trophy made it to it's new home.

To celebrate, Suzanne and I held a schooner race around the Isle of Yellow.

Suzanne was first across the start, but at the windward corner of the island I made a move to cut inside.

As the windward boat, she was required to avoid me, but just barely didn't. Thusly, she incurred a penalty turn, which she neatly executed.

The result was a commanding lead for me, but the whole race was still fun for us both.

Glad the trophy made it Dobbs.
I hear there are Pirates working out of the Chesapeake, that is why I sent it by the swiftest Mail Packet I could find working out of Falmouth on the North Atlantic run.
    Congratulations again.

PS. What is hiding in that cave on Yellow Island?

Don't want to knock the gilt off your gingerbread My Lord, but in your exalted position within the Board of Admiralty, that is not considered stealing, but just on of the perks of the job. Just don't let the Clerk of the Acts find out. We would not want anybody being accused of peculation now would we!

That‘s the problem with some members of the admirality who started their career with Letter of Marques...

Won‘t call this official „stealing“, too.

Maybe a futher, unlucky French broadside will prevent those picant details from our next meeting Agenda, Rob.

I think that your next stocktaking will show that there is no deficiency in the stock of Rum my dear Comte, since I had a quick word with the Superintendent of Dockyards.

Charge it to "Morale & Wellness"--it helps keep the men's morale up when they see those higher up the ladder risking Official Displeasure to take care of them, and thus keeps them well motivated. :)
