    Default Miniature Buildings

Hi Folks, I have found a few amazing pictures on this site of model ports that have been constructed by members, and would love to have a go at constructing my own.
Can anybody help me with links to websites where I can source miniature historical buildings / dockyard warehouses / forts etc that would suit the scale of Sails of Glory?
Many thanks, and apologies if this has been covered before.

This is one good place to try Douglas.

The Business of the commander-in-chief is first to bring an enemy fleet to battle on the most advantageous terms to himself, (I mean that of laying his ships close on board the enemy, as expeditiously as possible); and secondly to continue them there until the business is decided.

Hello Douglas, to build 3D scenography you can use these brands:

    Lanton miniatures website:

This link is for XVIII or early XIX buildings, so it is ideal for Sail of Glory games. The scale is 1/1200 and SOG is 1/1000, but works fine.

You can also use Langton ancient buildings.

I love these tiny houses because looks like Mediterranean houses in XVIII century.

    Hipania Sails.

This website is from a colleague and he sells some interesting buildings.

Another very interesting site, although I have not bought anything yet, is Brigade models.

And to finalize my own website.

I hope this information will be useful to you.
    Best regards,
    Julián

I have used Brigade Models and can vouch for them.

As Rob says, Brigade models are good and easier on the wallet than Rod Langton's, although their range is not as large as Langton. There is a third option that costs little to nothing except a little time and involves no painting except a bit of touch-up. There are a number of sources on the internet with card models. At our scale you only need to copy the photo of the displayed card sheet and size it for 1/1000 scale. Pinterest is a gold mine for period card buildings. http://papermau.blogspot.com is another good source.
