    Default St Vincent on GothCon.

It wasn't Sails of Glory but Sea Battle Trophy.

What a superb looking array of Grand elegance Jonas. and the ships ain't bad either.

The Business of the commander-in-chief is first to bring an enemy fleet to battle on the most advantageous terms to himself, (I mean that of laying his ships close on board the enemy, as expeditiously as possible); and secondly to continue them there until the business is decided.

Well, apparently we're not the only ones getting a uniform... Though mine is "only" a captain's. Wasn't yours too, Rob?

I have the broadcloth. Just need to get Mrs Bligh interested in producing it for me.
Where did you source your Lace and buttons Jonas?

I've recently found a new source, Hand & Lock. It has been around since 1767. They have a lot of lace in different prices. It's well I didn't find the real gold one. It'd be £1000... instead of £100 I payed from Military Heritage.

    Thanks Jonas.
I will now need to do some serious considerations as to if I can stand the cost.

There is an even cheaper one available at Hand & Lock.

You may even find some in ordinary sewing shops. In my book there's even a naval coat with army lace.

The admiral here above used "incorrect" lace but still look good.

    For the correct buttons:

Not the cheapest as you need 36 of them and another pair on the shoulders. I used some I found in a sewing shop that has the same motif but isn't flat but a little domed.

Thanks again Jonas. this is building into something passable without costing a mint now.
