It is :) I remmeber my first drinking of it - there was Three Kings Day and me and my two friends were going from house to house with chalk and were writing K+M+B above doors with singing "We, three kings, are going to youra house (typical czech tradition). Somewhere they give us some christmas sweets and somewhere tea with rum, because it was about - 7-8°C :)

In the Australian Army Rum is served with coffee traditionaly known as Gunfire. When I was on re-trans we all used to bring a bottle of rum each for a Gunfire breakfast. We never got drunk so we never got caught , and it does help when you are on top of an isolated hill with no Officers or Senior NCO's to bother you.
