    Default Le Genereux replacement

    Hello,

I am new to Sails of Glory. I received the starter kit yesterday and found the French ship Le Genereux has two broken sails.

What ship model could serve as a replacement since I can't find an individual pack of Le Genereux?

    Thanks for any help.

    Mike

Hi Mike, the Sails of Glory: Commerce De Bordeaux 1785/ Duguay-Trouin 1788 Ship Pack

Product #ARESGN102B is a favorite in the same class. It is available from Miniature Market, where I get my ships. Good prices. I saw they have 5 in stock

    Welcome aboard!

First contact Ares or your seller, would be my suggestion.

Yes, contact Ares direct. I received one of the latest batch of ships with a missing flag recently and they sent me a replacement. Also, if you search this site, you will find several methods for repairing broken masts.

    Welcome aboard Mike.
Having got in touch with Ares and received your replacement you will be left with the problem of how to repair your spare ship. The article which I wrote here may help if it is a whole mast down.

It is possible to buy a 1:1000 scale First Rate Foremast from Shapeways, but they are expensive. https://www.shapeways.com/product/HY...ionId=43206181

Pity it didn't capture the bulging of the sails as well as Ares does.
It looks very flat. That's what I don't like with etched brass sails.
