Long boats and ground forces

Hello all,

It's been ages since I've been on the forum, and awhile since I've played. But I started listening to 1776 by David McCullough, and it has brought my hobby life back into the period.

Anyways, I'm interested in making some long boats and some ground forces to go along with the ships. I don't need them to be perfectly scale, but I'm just wondering what most people use for this stuff. Pico armor I see has some pretty napoleonic stuff, 6mm as far as I can tell. Also I've seen some pictures of some pretty nice longboats, but I'm not sure what brand they are.

Hopefully this isn't too common of a thread topic, I did a quick search and couldn't find much. Apologies if it is!

For boats several people on the forum, myself included, use the boats from Langton.

Thanks TexaS. I'm going to get a few of these. The solo campaigns I've seen and some "cutting out" scenarios I've been mulling around in my mind practically demand them. Are there any images of Langton's shore batteries or signal towers? I didn't see any on the site ...

Rob, that watermarking certainly makes it difficult to get good photos. Have you tried right clicking and searching 'Google' for images? You'd have to be using Chrome, but I did find a partial image of the above here. One does have to be careful where you navigate on the web though. Too many things might screw up your computer.
