AAR June Solo mission "Intercept"

I played this scenario (using standard rules) last night. HMS Concorde (32) vs Sybille (40) (Sorry for the poor picture quality)


Beginning of scenario.

HMS Concorde first shots with the forward port guns. Great shots that now put the battle on even keel.
I thought this is going to go well.


HMS Concorde fired broadsides with little effect while Sybille fired forward guns with accuracy.


Collision - with both vessels taking damage.


Sybille landed with a broadside while our forward guns missed.


Broadside all around with effect. It's not looking so good anymore.


Again another round of broadsides - significant damage to both. Sybille is working her way towards her freedom.


Concorde collided again both no damage to Sybille.


Concorde's final broadside before Sybille clears the area.

I am really enjoying the game - and the interactions on the SOG anchorage boards.

Nice mission and write up Jerome.
I loved the blanket for your seascape, It makes a wonderful looking mat.
Just one thing is that this report may be better in the AARs thread.

Glad you enjoyed the scenario Jerome.
Just a couple of things, you ar aware that there is no damage for collisions with enemy ships ?
The collision damage is a rule that is meant to stop friendly collisions by making the captains keep the correct distsnces, enemy collisions will only give the chance of rigging fouling and the possability of grappling for boarding.
I know you have had a couple of discussions already for collisions but just wanted to point this out .
Did you manage to board and capture the VIP or was he killed ?
