It's just that. A quick simple island made in perhaps an hour.

Very elegant, and I'm assured that the cost of making this island is very low.
Ideal for wargames. Jonas, soon I'll put for sale four buildings more.

Undoubtedly I will be buying more then Julián. I believe keeping money in house wherever I can is the best way to grow a supplier, and I like your models a lot..

    Yes, it's Julián's palm trees.

That island was indeed very cheap. Apart from the fact that I already had left over Masonite, filler/spackle, flock and paint not much was used. The palm trees aren't expensive either, so it was quick and cheap.

I will probably be interested in any more buildings you make. They have been a delight so far.

And thank you for your kind words, both of you.

(But it's a real killer island. It scored two frigates out of four in one game.)

Don't worry. It's no problem explaining something and every time you read a how-to-do-it there's a chance to learn something. (Not that there's anything special in that thread.)

It's 24 cm by 6 cm. If you plan on making many it might be on the large side.

It's easy to clutter the sea with good looking terrain, but it's the sea where the action takes place.

    Thanks Jonas

I will only make a few of them. So there is some terrain on the table in 3D

I planning on making some smaller ones too. And then go for the sides. I all ready have some ideas for the sides.
But i need to buy some houses too.

By the way, I tried to make the coastline so it could stand in for both Caribbean or Danish. How do you think I succeeded?

I hope it could serve as southern coast of the Baltic Sea and perhaps even the southern coast of France. The idea is to only put palm trees on certain pieces that would give the feeling for the rest. Now I would like some Danish houses to make a small village.

One day I will make a small version of Copenhagen too.

I am still looking for some trees to swap over with my Palms, to effect that sort of change too Jonas.
