    Default AAR - Letters of Marque - The Special Relationship

    Captain Dixon handed the letter he was reading to Mr Wolfe, the first mate.
    "So it seems that the British and Americans are working together to stop us" said Dixon with a look of stoic concern on his face.

    "It looks that way Carswell, what do you think we should do about it?" asked Wolfe.

    "We know that they are meeting near the old fort, lets go and see what they are planning. Set sail for Black Sands Bay!"

    ---

    "Sails!" yelled the lookout "two of them sir, looks like Sloops! British and American!"

    "Double shot in the guns Wolfe, we'll get up nice and personal!" yelled the captain.

    "They have spotted us sir! Their sails are up and they are heading for sea!"

    "Get up nice and close boys, were going to take them both!" explained Dixon waving his cutlass furiously in the air.

    The Iratus pulled in front of the two sloops, lining up its shot perfectly

    "Aim high! Fire at will!"

    The guns roared, the double shot flew out ripping the crew of the HMS Swan to pieces. The American and British ships carried on through the smoke, exchanging musket fire as the crews lined up ready to board one another.

    WI rolled off on a d4 and generated treasure and charts.

    Automatically use grog for -1 crew damage

    And -1 for end of game

    Results:
    Iratus used grog to gain 1 crew loss back. Gained 1 crew from each of the ships captured. Total loss 2 crew.
    No free hull repair as no hull damage sustained.

    Prize: HMS Swan +2/USS Atlanta +6/Treasure +5 = 13
    The gain from the ships is one of the 4 items not 2. So:
    Blank = 1
    Information = 2
    Treasure =3
    Charts=4

    You may of course retain Atlanta as a prize ship and increase your navy. Swan is too badly damaged but is good to sell.

    7 treasure(-6 for Atlanta if you keep her) would recruit 6 crew to crew Atlanta with 1 left over.

    I think I'll sell the Atlanta off, I've got my eyes on a 4 burden frigate!

    There are rumors of a British heavy frigate sailing in the area. We will see if anyone can be coaxed into telling us where.
