those of you that fly are you haveing trouble lobggin ito the Areodrome? I knoe one part has been hacked but now I thing the whole site has been hacked. I try to log in and says I am denied. Any others having this problem.

Same here. Yesterday afternoon both sites appeared up but everytime I logged in, I was logged off when I refreshed or changed the page. At least SoG is working now.
Yes. According to Facebook comunications it wil be a few days before service is restored.

The only good thing about this is that I have caught up on what is happening on the SOG site which I havn't visited for ages

Site update: This morning at about 1:40 am the server that the forums and Aerodrome Accessories is on went down. The server was restored about 20 mins later, but the sites hosted on it have not been restored yet.
Not sure it is related to the issues we had the other day... that was just my site, this was the whole server. Though, our issues could have lead to them working on the server to secure it more. One can hope at least.
Looks like both sites are going to be down for a couple of days while I go through and clean everything out and update all the software. At this point I do not know what if any functionality or "eye candy" will be lost during the upgrades. All of the posts and files should be fine, but after that, who knows. I'll keep this thread as up to date as I can. Also, please help spread the word about the updates here so I don't get hundreds of emails asking about the site.
Yes I am having the same problems as well. The hackers should be "wiped around the fleet"

Thanks guys for the update. I think the better punishment would be the ancient Greek method. Tie arms and legs to four elephants and then have them go in different directions. I guess it would not hurt to long.

I keep checking te WoG site but still nothing , gloom, starting to get withdrawal and I got some new bits to show off too , bigger gloom.
But at least we got this site, so I have a lot of back reading to do.

There is NO truth to the rumour (which I've just started) that the WOG site has been hacked by a well meaning SOG site member to drive traffic to this site. Just in case anyone was wondering...;)
On a serious note however, the time and effort and expertise required to fix our sister site, WOG, must be placing an unwanted burden on Keith and his small band of helpers and presumably adding some unexpected financial costs as well. Maybe our band of brothers can start something (since the WOG's are all AWOL) to help and then when the WOG site is up and running again they can continue the effort?
Soooo, to start things off, I'll donate an F Toys Spad VII British 23rd Sqd plane (including postage) for a prize. Maybe it can be auctioned or just given randomly to someone who donates to the WOG site in the next month? Don't know, I'd let Keith work that stuff out.
Any other suggestions? Maybe a 'Say no to hackers' medal!

Donate here but let Keith know its for the Areodrome. Besides and funds collected go to two great sites.
Maybe I missed a note somewhere, but: Exactly why is everyone saying the site was "hacked", when none of the official statements say that?
Last Friday the Aerodrome (site and shop) and this site were hacked with an home page defacement, as Keith wrote when the SOG Aerodrome return online in a thread. I don't know if the current problem is a direct or indirect effect of the attack (the damage was worse than expected) or a different problem due an hardware/software issue. Perhaps losing some posts may ultimately be a good price to pay in order to get access to the forum. I' m really close to Keith, and who is working with him In my job lose of data is the worst nightmare that stirs in my sleep
Attilia my friend good to see you here. I too checked out the Areodrome and saw the down for maintenance. I look at that as a good sign because at least you get to the site now and don't get that DENIED message.
The WOG is available now. A really good way to begin this new day :D

Excellent. I haven't seen that movie in some time. Since I have it on DVD may have to watch ot this weekend.
One of the best animated movies ever not meant for kids. Too bad we don't have more works like this instead of anime.
You haven't been watching the right anime, then.
Back in the mid 70's this was a comic book or they are now called a graphic novel. One I remember was ROLF to german shephard semi human dog protecting the royal family from the ORC nazis. Was a very good series with the artwork and story. I do think that Wizards is based on many of the books.
