    Thanks Neil.
I will sail the Action on Thursday as is my norm.
    Should be some real fireworks.
I was inclined to rename her HMS Zebra as she had changed her stripes! However, that would have just been a horse of a different colour.

OK, after hours awaiting tech support all bugs etc have been removed and I am now clear to start updating the spreadsheet.

That said everyone now has access so you can update your own as you play.

    Hi Neil
Like our good Capt. Bligh I have trouble with this record sheet. Is there a 'Recording for Dummies' leaflet anywhere?

I was very loath to admit this Reg, but now that you have mentioned it, may I join your Dummies party please?

Try the rules amendments that we chatted about and I published for working out prize money etc. I went back through the sheets and updated right from the start.

Once I get a bit of time I'll post the quick walk through of how to do it.

Thank the Lord for Phoenix and Captain Joseph Porter is all I can say. He arrived in the nick of time unlike Amelia.
What a bloodbath that was with a depleted crew and 100 points deficit to boot.
Dispatches to follow once I have recovered my composure.

Every ship has its own deck, ship mat, and set of chits for actions Hugh.
Additionally, every card in each deck is marked to match the dot on the ship. So yo may differentiate between the cards in each deck with a different coloured dot.
A D deck for instance starts with red dots to match its ship. The second D deck will have Blue dots, third pink dots etc. This will cover eight D decks without repeats. If I then need more D decks I repeat the sequence in the bottom corner of the Deck.
This makes it very easy to find errant cards which have migrated to other decks, and also ensure that in large solo games you ascribe the correct card to the right ship for movement purposes.
Also when packing up after shows, you can easily differentiate your cards and ships from other peoples.

It seems that participation in the campaign has dwindled a little. What can we do to bring some of our errant admirals back in the battle and posting some of their aar up?

Hi chaps I'm one of those guilty Captains who have been AWOL. My May campaign was actually played in May and I have a semi complete AAR on my computer. So I promise to finish it off asap.

I find 4 year olds are absolute plague carriers, nothing but a string of colds this winter.

Also yes, I have three kids myself, I don't remember the last time I wasn't till.

I played a game today against the AI.

during the first broadside of the game HMS Britannia pounds Le Berwick.

Here is the resulting damage! Le Berwick is destroyed in the first pass.

    Proof of everything being ready.

I will go sailing a brigg this weekend. Perhaps I can post some pictures of that instead.

Before anyone gets any hopes up, I won't be in uniform, it has no guns and it's much more modern than our era, but it's still a two masted, square sailed brigg.

Rob, the table can be extended by adding extra pieces in it. Right now it has both extra leaves iserted and isn't practically usable from the other side. It's a tight squeeze to get there.

I'm hoping to get my car from the mechanic today. It's not not having a car that troubles me, generally. I get by ordinary days by bike and train. It's paying for the repairs. This weekend however I do need it.

    Hi Jonas.

The table I have is in two parts each three by five feet long in old money so I get a full table of six by five wide. At my old house which had a 28 foot lounge, I had an extra leaf which was five feet by four so that I could end up with a table overall ten foot length without taking up too much of the lounge.
    Those days are gone alas.

    Hi Hugh.
If it had not been for the failure of my hot water cylinder this morning, it would have been with you already.
I still hope to have it out before the deadline of the end of tomorrow, if no more water cascades out of my Bathroom. Thankfully the Plumber is getting a replacement delivered on Friday.

Ah water leaks are the worst. I hope it hasn't done too much damage!
