The Business of the commander-in-chief is first to bring an enemy fleet to battle on the most advantageous terms to himself, (I mean that of laying his ships close on board the enemy, as expeditiously as possible); and secondly to continue them there until the business is decided.

The Shepherd Neane Brewery in Faversham, Kent is a large organization. One of its ranges of drinks are produced under the name Bear Island because a ship once landed a bear and its handler at an island now within the grounds of the brewery. One of its drinks is Bear Island East Coast Pale Ale.
