Also, this whole distillery (which makes some fine gin) is named for the passage between the Door Peninsula and Washington Island on Lake Michigan littered with shipwrecks (which may or may not actually be the source of the straight's name):

I ran across this the other day. It was alright, but I haven't had spiced rum in so long that I'm not sure how I feel about it now in general.
I'm going to go with this one, given that the voyageurs used to paddle 30-foot canoes all the way from Montreal to Thunder Bay.

My absolute favorite scotch. From the island of Islay. You can taste the ocean next to which it was aged.
A lot of new ones there Jason. However, to spread things out a bit we have been restricting ourselves to one new drink each a day on this thread so as not to let the hands get too drunk.

We started off with just beers for sailing ships Jason, but then someone posted Captain Bligh Gin knowing my proclivities in that direction. The Rum then became a natural extension, and now it seems that any alcoholic beveridge is the norm as long as it is directly related to the sea and ships.
So no worries there old chap bring it on. I could do with a bit of a break as I am sure Dave could too.
