Those are dealt with, but that car factory the minutemen send you to... That's something else. Just the ghouls to get there.

Jonas, I'm something of a completionist so I've not moved much beyond Concord and the Red Rocket Station (which I'm turning into a fort of sorts). I did investigate the USAF radar station as I needed circuitry boards for the gun turrets. It's a huge game/simulation/sandbox!!

Yes, it's big. I've built a fort in place of a recycled house in Sanctuary too, but the Minutemen asked me to take care of the raiders in an old car factory. Nor even the power armor helped. I need more levels before attempting that again.

And I have set up my home base in Red Rocket, too.

Here we go! Greenish black of course.

Here we go again!!!! Black is the new green O.K. I'm not going into it all again. If you paint Russians green it is wrong. End off! I know Ed, and Ed knows me The only thing I will say is, "They were not "PINK" As long as you are happy with your ships Green or Black. I will try and not laugh too much at the green ones .

You're right Rory, they were light red

Yeah, I know, I owe you another beer.

I'm trying to talk some friends into a trip to Munich for Oktoberfest in 16. If I can, and you could make it, beers are on me (for the first day).

Rory, I have been away regarding what has been happening so long, the few posts here confused me. So I did a quick search and found this article.

Eric, after looking at the article, which color did you decide the "Victory Hull Ochre" most resembled?

The answer might be playing night actions gentlemen. Then no one will know what colour the ships are.

I was working in Pompey at the beginning of the week and we started alongside Victory. In the bright sunshine the "new" shade didn't look that different from the old, to be honest. And in all the times I've been down there since the new colour was applied the sunlight conditions never made her look pink.

I'm also reminded of working on HMS Cornwall in 1996, ships sides in light weatherwork grey, decks in dark grey. However, parts of the ships side and deck had been painted at different times, so there were multiple hues of what were supposedly the same colours. In the most extreme case, the newly applied dark grey deck looked pitch black from a distance, whilst the oldest applied areas were so faded that they were practically identical to the new "light grey". Exposure to sunlight does funny things to paint even in a short time, so basically just about anything goes

I've thought the original Navy yellow was the baby puke yellow that was mentioned in some period source I forget. I think the new Victory colour fit that description quite well.
