Tech Transfer - Ruler Tool made in USA

Saw this nice ruler tool at Origins 2014.

7eat51 built them to make measuring more easy without dismounting the ships from the bases.

I did a tech transfer from the USA to Europe and copied this tool.



Just cut a small, flat board in exact pieces.

Then chut a thin round timber in two pieces.

Drill small holes into the boards and the timber (!important - otherwise you ruin the wooden pieces!) and fix the boards with little nails at the timber's end. Don't forget the wood glue!

Measuring half ruler distance isn't a problem anymore.

Just check it with the new tool.



Same goes for the shot distances.



Maybe I'm going to paint them next week.

Nice ideas from Eric, Sven and David. Must admit I've copied Eric's ruler idea but as I had extra rulers I cut mine down to the sizes, mounted those on wood, drilled, pinned and glued.
