It will be a long time before we can fight this battle using Sails of Glory ships. :)

    An interesting action Neil.
Not your usual sink and burn ships job.
I'm a bit surprised the Swedes did not get across the bows of the mobilized Russian Fleet and use up what shot they had left. They may well have sunk a couple more or got them to strike.

Rory: Are those Langton ships correct for the Wasa-class Swedish 60-64 gun ships? Those had higher placement of the lower gun deck (32 lb guns) and much less protection for the upper (24 lb guns) giving a quite distinct appearance. They also had less draft making them suitable for the Swedish archipelago.

Sadly there is no translation of this wikipedia page but perhaps you can understand it using google translate?

    Hi Jonas,
First I have lost all of my subscript threads. So must go though all the new posts to see what is what.
I will photo each of Langton's Swedish ships.

SW 2, 62 gun 3rd Rate. Hard to show but the Poop deck is very long. It has a break in it. It looks as if it in 2 parts. Sorry it is in 2 parts

    It is not right, but I used SW 3 for 74 & 70 gun ships. Also SW 2 for 60 & 62 & 66 gun ships.
I read the Wikipedia bit, thanks. As Langton only makes 3 "high sea" ships, 3 more than Ares. I hope at this scale it is O.K. to do.

    Those are beautiful ships!

And yes you can get away with a few differences in this scale.

The Wasa-class is kind of a favorite to me and therefore I'm wishing for a model actually representing it.

    Hi Jonas,
E-mail Rod Langton. It is his model of a 70-74 gun 3rd Rate. He is very nice and I think would answer your questions. His web page has a bit for questions.
    Good luck.
