Default Sails of Glory at Ancient City Con

I ran Sails of glory yesterday for Day 2 of Ancient City Con here in Jacksonville Florida and the game was a smashing success. I had enough supplies for 8 players (two starters) and had no difficulty finding captains for all the vessels and I ran the game for three straight game sessions. Every one was a huge hit and a few of the players looked up prices online and called their wives to discuss purchasing the game. I directed many of them to this forum. Contact information was exchanged and it looks like I have some new shipmates.

    "...called their wives..."

A sad comment on the state of the hobby in Florida

Now if they'd been calling their husbands to tell them to order a copy

The great London barrister, Rumpole of the Bailey, always referred to his wife as, "She, who must be obeyed." Keeping the missus informed is the best policy IMHO. It's bad form to just show up with a hundred bucks worth of swag and say, "Look, honey, see what I bought!" and then run off to your man cave to play with your new toys.

Yes, there are pictures. I'll have to post them soon. Also I just received Shipmate requests on this forum from two of the people that were there.

    Great work Dave.
I look forward to the pictures.

I also started a group on facebook. I'm going to try and organize a group here in Jacksonville and see if we can get more SoG going.

Also I know of two people who signed on because of me. If there are others I'm not aware of who they are as they haven't friended me on here yet.
