Model Fortifications

I have seen some nicely presented fortifications on this site. I have myself had plans to make some free standing 3D coast sections myself for a while.

If these include a fortification section how do players model the SOG mechanics into these 3D forts? The coastal sections in Ares scenarios, and in the rule book, seem to have reasonably defined arcs of fire fire, like ships. But I haven't seen this duplicated on the 3D models I've seen on this site.

you can use a portable fire arc. You put up the guns when you want to check the shot. (it's an idea)
