Not sure if this has been mentioned here, but you can read the action notices including prize money awarded from naval actions as posted in the London Gazette on their website.

Set the date range for a range based on the action you want to look up, for ex I searched for Trafalgar in 1805, and found all these official notices:

You can also find records of promotions and actions including ships involved, prize money paid etc. The attachment is about a squadron lead by Pellew recapturing Eliza:data.pdf
