    Default Genereux paint and rigging

Here's my second paint and rigging.
Not much difference than the HMS Defense.
    The few differences are:
Lower main mast ratlines needed to slightly longer
The lower aft mast ratlines were different requiring four vertical lines and slightly longer
The mast color is a 1:1 mix of bright yellow and blue angel yellow.

    Hope you will all enjoy.

    Now for the after photos.
The waves are slightly different. Bigger crest. I also covered it wil liquid crazy glue instead of acrylic spray. The base for the wave is plastic instead of heavy paper. I also did more waves near the hull which meant the ship got a little bit of the plaster on it. Cleaned it up with water or in worse case just painted black over it.

Hi Darren, good job with the ship. The ratlines must have cost very much, congratulations.

    The sea also looks great.

    Thanks
Yeah the aft ratlines from the HMS Defense wouldn't work so I had to create a 4 lune on my jig. Got it right the first time.
The wave would make me sick if I was on that ship.
The waves seem to be a bit of black magic.
    I did more dappling.
The painting I followed your guidance but some times it feels like a bit of luck

Definitely easier to appreciate in the pictures than live even with my reading glasses.

FIne work Daren, sea is perfect for a choppy Atlantic blue. If those are hand made ratlines, even using a jig, I'm impressed!

Great work! The ratlines are very well done, as is the water and waves. Another fine addition to your fleet.

Beautiful paint job. How the blankity blank do you get those gun ports so square?

Gun ports came that way. I didn't repaint the hull.

    Great work, Darren.

    This French one looks awesome!

Looks like a really hard work to arrange and fix all those tiny ropes.

I made the post after looking at the first picture that looked like you painted the sides white. At least through my aged eyes.

Yes it is. I use a liquid crazy glue (one up from the one with the lowest viscosity).
I glue one end let it dry then pull tension with the other and glue again. The glue takes from 10s to a minute to become tacky enough to hold. Sometime I use white glue to help.

Brilliant Darren. Your gaming table must be a distraction with such fine eye candy.

Very nice, I have just started the long haul of painting the masts and spars on my fleets, will then think of the rigging, if still sane :)

I think the requirement for rigging is to have no sanity .
