    Default Remembrance Sunday Afloat

I spent part of yesterday afloat and under way on what may well be the only seagoing warship** from the Great War

Maybe a bit grand to call her a warship, but in her as-built guise as CMB9 she did torpedo and sink a German destroyer off Zeebrugge.

Is CMB9 one of the torpedo boats, which launched their torpedoes down a ramp at the stern and then moved out of the way? If so, there is one at the Imperial War Museum Duxford, which was used to sink a Russian warship during the Russian Civil War.

David, thanks for the photo and link. Congrats on your hitching a ride on a WWI vessel as well.

Fantastic pics of a boat I don't think I would be brave enough to set sail in never mind torpedo a destroyer or cruiser in!
